One Tree Hill: Favorite Book Boyfriend
I've read a lot of books - YA, classics, adult fiction - but I've found that I'm extremely picky when it comes to finding the perfect book boyfriend.
Yes, there are a few that are well worth the swoon and the buzz that they get from other readers, but I just have a hard time choosing a favorite.
So I'm going with two for this prompt - Lincoln O'Neill from Rainbow Rowell's Attachments and Mathias Thais from Romina Russell's Zodiac series. Both of these guys have stolen my heart. Lincoln because he's just so sweet, even if he started off a bit odd. And Mathias because he's just so dedicated to work that he gets frustrated when love is right in front of him.
Girl Meets World: Should Have a Spin-Off
There are a few series that I would love to see continue on, especially in the form of spin-off series, but one that keeps coming back to me is Jenny Han's adorable series, To All the Boys I've Loved Before.
Yes, I love Lara Jean, and her adorable storyline about falling in love, falling out of love, and falling in love again. I loved seeing her struggle with her feelings when a boy from her past came back to town. And obviously, I squealed with joy when I found out that we were getting a third book about her, but I want more from another character in that world.
I would love love love a spin off series about Lara Jean's older sister, Margot. We didn't really get to know a whole lot about her in the first book, but I found myself really sad when she left for college. I was really liking her, so I think it would be the coolest thing ever if Jenny Han were to write a YA/NA crossover about her life in Scotland.
Breaking Bad: Favorite Villain
I've had a lot of favorite villains over the past few years, but there's one in particular who I always remember, and to be honest, she's not even the biggest villain in the series!
Lost? If you are, that's okay. This one is going to Bellatrix Lestrange.
When I first read the Harry Potter series, I felt like there was so much going on with the Harry and Voldemort stuff because there is. But I really found myself intrigued with Bellatrix. She's rotten to the core, but Rowling really made her stand out for me. She's a villain that I just love.
That 70s Show: Set in a Different Time Period
There are so many books out there that are set in different time periods, and to be honest, I haven't read very many of them. I tend to read a lot of contemporary, so me choosing this category was risky for me.
However, there's one book that I read recently that sticks out, and that would be Jessica Khoury's The Forbidden Wish. The Forbidden Wish is a fantasy novel - a retelling of Aladdin. This time around, it's a female genie that's telling the story, not the quirky blue genie that many of us loved from the Disney classic.
Lost: Favorite Paranormal/Fantasy
So I just confessed that I mainly read contemporary. While it's rare to find me reading fantasy, it's very rare that you'll find my nose in a paranormal book. Honestly, I've just been disappointed by so many books in these genres so it's hard to pick new ones to read.
There's one paranormal book that I read and loved, and that would be Katherine Howe's The Appearance of Annie Van Sinderen. I can't tell you how much I loved this book because my love for it is truly infinite!
The Appearance of Annie Van Sinderen starts off like a contemporary, but Katherine Howe slowly weaves in paranormal aspects, and it just makes for an emotional and utterly amazing read.
Vampire Diaries: Your Ship Sank or It Didn't Happen
This category is going to a book series that I recently finished. I've been reading the books in The Selection series for years now, patiently waiting for each book year after year. While I've had my frustrations with this series, I've mostly enjoyed all of the books.
I recently finished The Crown by Kiera Cass, and unlike in America's story arc, my ship did not happen in Eadlyn's. I don't want to spoil anyone because this book was only just recently released, but I did find myself really sad when I read it and started to realize that my ship was slowly and then quickly sinking.
